"For our anniversary and valentine celebration, my partner and I had the 'Lost in Paris' taster course. Not only did the meal taste incredible, the courses were all unique and interesting. Our waitress (Julia) was extremely welcoming and friendly, even getting us a complimentary glass of champagne as we arrived."

"Really enjoyed our first visit here. Most us have been before to other venues my self to London 3 times. Big group 12 of us friends and family most of us in the catering industry we love to try new restaurants. The service here was really top notch 11/10 the food that night over all 8/10 Beautifully decorated and plenty of seating with a great view of the kitchen/service area and bar, its lovely inside. The taster menu was nice but a bit of a roller coaster with seasonings. As expected beautiful presentation with wonderful wine and well balanced cocktails, definitely recommend the drinks pairing. Some dishes were just delicious and delightful but a couple of elements were uncomfortably salty. It was a general consensus and really put some people off, leaving food on the plate from a large dose of saltiness overpowering the dish. Now that was the only disappointment of the meal and night. Otherwise I do recommend visiting, its definitely a lovely menu, venue and fun night out. The staff are excellent at delivering a most entertaining and informative dining experience, we smiled and laughed lots to talk about. You can have a quiet intimate meal with a loved one in the corner or like us seated in the middle of the room eat, talk, cheer and have a dining experience to remember. Great place for food enthusiast. Highly recommended."

"We love Six By Nico - we think it is such a special treat and try to visit for as many menus as possible. We enjoyed the recent Space menu but were especially impressed by our most recent visit for a San Sebastián themed menu. The experience is really good value for money with really tasty dishes served every time, and often food you don’t get to eat very often - whether that is hen of the woods or an oyster foam! The menu can be enjoyed by itself or with a really lovely wine pairing. They also offer a cocktail pairing but we have never tried it. The staff at the Cardiff branch really make the experience worth it for us as well. They always go above and beyond to deliver phenomenal service and it seems like there is a real effort to have the staff knowledgeable and experienced in the menus. You can tell that they have also tried (and usually enjoyed) the food. No matter who serves us when we visit we always have smiles on our faces and greatly enjoy the time we spend there. It is also amazing that the tasting menus are always offered with a vegetarian option. The staff are so accommodating that they will allow you to swap dishes across the regular and vegetarian menu - which is great for us pescatarians! The vegetarian options are always delicious and you do not feel like you are missing out or have been treated as an afterthought. The chefs at the Cardiff branch maintain a really high standard, and in our many visits we have never noticed a change in the quality of our meals. It is not the cheapest meal you will eat but it is very accessible as far as fine dining goes, and in my opinion, worth every penny you spend. Hopefully over the coming year we won’t miss a menu! "I visited the Cardiff branch with three friends for the Nutcracker experience, 3 of us were newbies. Firstly a shout out to our server Lu - the heart followed the signature on the feedback form, it's not me being weird. Friendly, informative, attentive, humourous and interacted with all of us and every customer group on a personal level. Thank you so much and keep doing what you are doing! The experience was fabulous! The building, at the top of High Street is one of the old Cardiff buildings that used to be banks so has high ceilings and beautiful architecture. The food is quite simply theatre with substance. Every plate is a mini work of art, carefully placed and delicious. You can swap matched courses between the veggie and standard menu if there is anything you particularly dislike. Opportunities to taste ingredients that you may not usually consider. Every course described on arrival by the friendly wait staff. So six finely crafted plates of deliciousness for £45 - serious value for money especially when you consider the amount of human effort going into each plate! "I've been wanting to go here for months and it didn't not disappoint. We went to the Hollywood Christmas sitting and had the cocktail pairing. The cocktails were not your run of the mill ones which I was impressed with. It is a tasting menu so no huge portions which is exactly what I wanted. The whole taste experience was explained to us before each serving. I would definitely book to go again."
